I'm a proud first generation Mexican American. My parents immigrated to the United States from Tacambaro, Mexico in 1989, and I was born and raised in Oakland, California.
As a young boy, I grew up with the love of cooking influenced by the creative women in my family and always had an affinity for color and textures influenced by my Latin culture. I was the first person in my family to attend college and I graduated from Chico State in 2017 with a B.S. in Horticulture and Plant Science and a minor in Nutrition. Studying nutrition became my main passion and, it was through learning about the way that food impacts our bodies, that I realized plat based cooking was the ultimate gateway for me to express both my creativity and my knowledge.
Today— I have a career that involves photography, food styling, cooking, and travel.
